Travel Info for 07/31

We received a dispatch to Miami, Fl this morning at about 0530. We left the Groveport terminal at 0600 and headed down hwy 33 in Ohio to Ravenswood, WV where we accessed I-77 south to Columbia, SC where we will travel I-26 east to I-95 south into Florida and on to Miami. We are scheduled to be in Miami by 0200 on Saturday am. We will be stopping in Rock Hill, SC for fuel and then no further plans for stopping until our arrival in Miami.

There is supposed to be a load waiting for us or to be ready shortly after our arrival in Miami. That load will take us to El Paso, TX. 07/30 Update

We arrived in Groveport, OH a little earlier than was expected this morning. We actually got here at about 0100. After a good nap we done some shopping and came back to our yard. I was able to get some maintenance done on the truck and I was able to wash the truck as well. Had some pretty darned good fellowship with some of the other drivers in the yard and explained what we are doing and the message we are trying to spread. They were all very receptive to, and actually encouraging about the mission we have tackled.

We are a little surprised at the lack of interest or contact by many though. I think, though not certain, that many think we are stuck up, or they think that we are show offs or something. I just can't put my finger on why but I do wish that they would get to know us and come to understand that the whole truck thing is honestly about America, not about being a "show off" or whatever they may think of us.

One other small but interesting observation. It seems that the further east we came, the more support we get. I don't understand at this point whether or not it is because people are more aware of the problems America faces and are therefore interested in whatever can be done to wake folks up to the facts, or just merely coincidental. Further observation will be made, and reported here, as we continue with the endeavor to WAKE UP AMERICA.

07/29 Update on Travel and Harassment

First, I guess I'll let you know that we are currently about 80 miles west of St. Louis, MO on I-44. We will be traveling around St. Louis and East St. Louis on I-270/I-255 during the 5:00 hour(Eastern Time). We will, from there, be traveling across I-70 through Effingham, IL, Indianapolis, IN and into Groveport, OH. We expect to arrive in Groveport at about 01:30-02:00 am Eastern time.

Now a further update on the "rest of the story". I called our dispatch office in Sacramento, Ca to speak with a dispatcher about getting some names of hierarchy in the company. One of the managers answered the phone, and he was very, very gracious and apologetic. When he answered the phone, I nearly hung up simply because I didn't want to speak with him at that particular time. I am truly grateful that I didn't do that. We had, what I felt and feel now, was a highly productive conversation and again, he made great effort to have my wife and I understand how sincerely sorry that he, and everyone at the company are for this embarrassing situation. I must commend him for his humility and concern for our well being.

Further, today, the Senior VP of the company, sent, via satellite communication, what was obviously a sincere, heartfelt apology for the situation and asked that we contact him and meet with him the next time we are in the same town as he. Again, I feel it was very courteous and most certainly self deprecating for the SR. V.P. of a company of this magnitude to take the time from his busy schedule to respond to an incident that occurred with one of his business partners. I would just like for him to know, in case he might read this, that is was truly appreciated and went a long way in repairing our attitude towards what was previously, (before this incident) thought a fantastic company to work with.

As a final note, I have been in contact with the harassing SGT. on duty the night of this ordeal and he has assured me that a report was filed and that I am definitely entitled to a copy of that report. He is to contact me via email when the report is finished and available and will forward it to me via fax.

In closing, this has been a very good day for my wife and I both, some faith in people was restored with these two apologies and the bruises of disappointment faded to some extent. God is SO very good.

Harassment update

I have filed an official request for a copy of any and all reports concerning this stop. I will keep you posted on my success in this endeavor. I will also post the official report here if I am able to obtain it.

Incidentally, at the time of this post, there has been no comment, apology, or acknowledgment, of any kind, by anyone at the company to which we are leased other than the dispatchers on duty the night of the incident. Nothing from upper echelon, or the hierarchy in the company. My opinion leads me to believe that someone of stature with the company would want to apologize to a team operation for their irresponsible actions of reporting a stolen trailer...If in fact the trailer was ever reported stolen. I mean...I'm just sayin'.

07/28 update, Columbus, OH Bound

We received a call from dispatch at about 3:15 this morning and asked if we could make a run to Columbus, OH today. We assured them that we'd be happy to do that so they gave us that dispatch.

We were told that the load would be ready about 9:00 am but at the time of this post, 9:35 am, we have not received notice that it is ready.

When we leave here, we will be traveling on I-15 to Barstow, CA, then I-40 through Needles, CA, Kingman, AZ, Flagstaff, AZ, Grants, NM, Albuquerqui, NM, Tucumcari, NM, Amarillo, TX, Oklahoma City, OK, then I-44 through Joplin, MO, to St. Louis, MO, then I-70 Indianapolis, IN and on to Columbus, OH. Actually, our terminal is in Groveport, OH which is the south sside of Columbus.

Since we aren't sure at this point when the load will be ready, I'll not be able to estimate city pass through times. I will update this page when I can give the itinerary for the cities we will be traveling through.

Please feel free to make a contribution here if you like our mission. You can use any of the "donate" buttons on this page to contribute to the cause. And to our bail. LOL

We're Back In Carson Now, 7/27

Well, we turned around and we are now back in Carson, CA. We had a headlight out and got pulled over in Arizona last night for that. No ticket, just a warning citation.

we had to drive all the way out to Fontana, CA, about 54 miles to get a headlight bulb today. Came back to Carson, installed the bulb and have been just kinda veging since then.

No idea, at this point where we will be headed out of here or when we will be leaving but I'll be sure and let you know when I know.

As always, if you like our message and the mission we are on to wake up America, please feel free to make a contribution here to help defray the costs of all the materials we are passing out. Oh, and for the bail costs as well. LOL. You can use any of the "donate" buttons on this page or at Stop the Destruction of America to make a contribution. Any and all contributions are welcome and appreciated.

A Very Trying Weekend...And Monday Too!!

First, again, I apologize for having not posted again for quite some time. I am very sorry. What I have realized is that the logistics of posting every move or change in a move is very difficult. I am in the process of teaching my wife to post here as well though so it should get somewhat easier to keep up with us as time passes.

Now, for our weekend. We left Carson, CA at about 0900 on Saturday morning, headed for Kansas City, Mo, as indicated in my last post. Before we got out of Arizona we were asked to detour to Weatherford, OK to meet another team and switch loads/trailers with them. They live in Kansas City and needed to get home so it wasn't a problem. We would take their trailer/load on to Carson, CA, and they would take ours to Kansas City, MO. We hit some terrible weather around Winslow, AZ. As a matter of fact my wife was able to get a picture of a tornado that was touching down just north of the interstate just before we drove in to it. WOW, what a ride. Here is the picture she was able to get.

I ended up meeting up with my old friend at Holbrook, AZ, he had just bought a new truck and wanted me to see it, a very nice ride. We visited for about 30 minutes or so and took off. He and his wife and grandson was going the same direction so they decided to follow us and we visited on the C.B. Radio as we drove. We were just riding along, visiting, having a great time and a police officer passed me,(a New Mexico State Police Officer), like I was sitting still, with his lights on. He got about 4-6 car lengths ahead of me in the left lane and slammed on his brakes, shut of his red lights and as I went passed him he jumped in behind me. I drove on, about 1/2 mile or so, and he was tailing me very closely, with the left side of his car just to the outside of the left side of my truck. I think, though he says it isn't true, that he still had his headlights flashing, so I pulled over to the shoulder of the road. I immediately climbed from the cab, walked to the rear of my trailer, where he met me, and he asked if I was alright. I stated I was fine and he instructed me to stand at the rear of my trailer, and again asked was I sure that I was alright because he had a call that someone in a truck with a flag on it ran two cars off the road back at about the 75 mile post. We were at this point at the 98 mile post. Remember now, my friend, his wife and grandchild were following me, within about 200 yards or so, until I pulled over. He was on his radio talking to dispatch and then asked for my driver's license. I went to the truck, officer Hammond of the New Mexico State Police, in tow and got my driver's license for him. He then proceeded to ask for my log book as well and again, with officer Hammond, of the New Mexico State Police following my every footstep, I retrieved my log book. He asked if there was anyone else in the truck and I informed him my wife was in the bunk. He asked if that was the only person and if I was sure there was no-one else in there. I again, assured him, we were the only two folks in the truck. The officer continued questioning me in generalities, about where we picked the trailer up, where we were headed, what we were hauling, etc., he then asked if he could "pat me down" and told me to place my hands on the back of the trailer. About this time another officer, Seargent Troy(I later learned), of the New Mexico State Police had pulled up, lights flashing, and officer Hammond went to his car to speak with him. Officer, oops, Seargent Troy, they are very touchy about their titles, got out of his car and walked over to me and officer Hammond went to get my wife out of the truck. Seargent Troy asked me if Officer Hammond had told me what was going on, and I told him the yes, Officer Hammond had told me that he had a report of me running two cars off the road, but that I knew that that hadn't happened and he proceeded to tell me that we were pulling a "stolen trailer". He said that they were just waiting on their people to confirm with our company that it was no longer a stolen unit and we would be on our way.

Just a a side note, I'll explain something here. While I won't say who we are leased to, I will say this. The name of the company we are leased to is on both sides,of the trailer in 8' lettering, on the rear in 1' lettering and the nose of the trailer in 8" lettering. The name of the company is also on our truck, in 4" letters on both sides, along with the company D.O.T. number. In our truck, there is a permit book with the company name on every single piece of paper in the book, which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 pieces of paper in the form of official, state issued permits, listing the D.O.T. number and the name of the company on each. Also in the permit book, is a lease, listing company name, D.O.T. Number, address, telephone number, our truck number, the vehicle ID number for the truck and the vehicle truck Number that the company issues at the time of lease to each truck, and it is a truck specific number meaning that each truck has a different number. The lease is signed and dated by both myself and my wife. The signatures on the lease match both mine and my wife's signatures on our driver's licenses. The license plates on the truck are the same that are listed on the registration, listing myself and my wife as owners and the company to which we are leased as lessee. That would be the same company who's name is on the side of the trailer. The trailer, in the New Mexico State Police's own computer system, comes back as being registered to the company we are leased to and who's name is on the side of the trailer. The plates on the trailer match the registration that is in the trailer which shows registration to the company to which we are leased. There is a trailer number, on the trailer, both front and rear in 6" letters, again a trailer specific number, which matches the trailer on the registration and the Vehicle ID number on the registration matches the Vehicle ID number stamped in a plate, attached with special rivets to the nose of the trailer. Upon calling the company, they told the officers that it was their trailer. Are you getting the point here? All the numbers match all the vehicles, that match all the registrations, that match all the leases and permits, that match the driver's whose names are on the driver's license along with matching pictures. I mean...I'm jsut sayin'. Can you add two and two? New Mexico State Police Seargent Troy and officer Hammond, obviously can't. Anyway, I digress, back to the story now.

At this point they told me to walk down the sandy hill about 50 feet or so and stand by the fence. Whatever, I complied, as directed, and they started questioning my wife. By now, 3 more police officers with the New Mexico State Police, have pulled up with lights flashing and they all convene near one of the squad cars. After a few minutes of conversation, two of the officers headed for the cab of the truck, two stood around talking and another was again questioning my wife, who by this time is in tears. The two who headed for the truck, proceeded to stop and read the side of the truck, as much as they know how to read, which I contend, that by their ability to add 2 + 2 and figure out the trailer isn't stolen, they can't read much. After a brief stop at the side of the truck and putting their hands all over it, one of the officers climbed in, uninvited and without asking I might add, went to the back into the sleeper and was there about 2-3 minutes. The other officer was rifling through the paperwork on the dash. I had on the dash, my bills of lading along with 10, 9-12 pamphlets and 912 taxpayer revolt flyers, a picture of the truck, and a copy of the "First They Came For..." poem that I have on the side of the truck. Those things are all 1 short now plus no poem. I still have the picture of the truck. They eventually exited the truck and went back to the other group of officers who were gathered around my wife interrogating her. Now one officer comes and gets me, and I joked to him, hey, why is it that I have to walk in the sand with my good boots and clean britches on and when you want to talk to me you hollar and ask me to come to you instead of walking to me in the sand? His remark was, that's why I carry a gun, so when I use my voice, people jump, and he smiled at me. He had me stand against his squad car where he also stood, making small talk about the weather, mosquitoes, the police academy, and whatever he could think of to talk about. The other officers were still aggressively interrogating my terrified, crying wife. After about 2 hours, Officer Troy came to me and told me that the company had verified it was a stolen trailer and that we were going to be placed in "investigative detention" until the matter could be resolved. They allowed us to get a few things out of the truck, so I grabbed my phone and a bottle of water. After about 3-4 minutes of explaining to them about all the numbers matching, all the names matching and all the registrations matching, I called my dispatch office and they wanted to talk to the Seargent, who refused to speak with them. They cuffed me, and frisked me again,(which I was told wasn't called frisking but "patting down"). I was approached by another of the officers. He called himself an "inspector", and he stated he had some questions for me and I told him if I was under arrest, I was done talking. That pissed this little bald headed, Hitleresque fella off. He said "so you aren't going to cooperate?" I stated I had been cooperative up to the point that I was placed under arrest and I was talking no more. Man, did he get mad. He made sure that I knew that I hadn't cooperated with him because I hadn't even met or talked to him yet and again, I advised the fellow that I had nothing else to say. They stuffed me in the rear of the squad car, shut the door, and all converged around my wife again. Now a tow truck pulls up, gets in front of my truck and the driver comes back to talk to the officers. One of the officers walked back up front with him, three of them are harassing, unrelentingly, my wife for some further information that they thought we were hiding, and the 5th officer was in the front seat of the squad car that I was in. They would talk to her for a minute or two, then come back and harass me, then back to her and so on. Now, someone had decided that they needed to see the inside of the trailer to check for...whatever. The trailer had a hardened bolt seal installed, in Carson at our terminal, before I picked the trailer up. Mind you too, the number on the bolt seal, matched the number on the bills of lading, that had the city of origin, city of delivery, and the company name and address on the bills. More proof, we weren't lying. Anyway, the tow truck driver, being quite the brain surgeon, though a rather lumpy, hairy, dirty one, went to his truck and obtained a hammer and a chisel to cut the bolt seal off. He beat the hell out of the back of the trailer, I told them that they needed bolt cutters to cut the seal. I later found out that my wife had told them the same thing, but he continued to beat the hell out of the trailer. I told them I had a pair of bolt cutters and they asked where they were but I decided to refuse to tell them. One of the other officers, the bald, Hitler like guy, went to his pickup truck and got a pair and they cut the seal off. Of course, they found nothing but a load of miscellaneous freight, but none the less, they showed us, and the bolt seal who was boss.

Another note of interest here is that the little Hitler like guy, for some reason, felt the need to assure me and my wife that he was "just trying to help us". I again went through all the numbers matching, and all and that i understood that they weren't allowed to think for them selves but rather had to do as told so let's just move on though the steps here. Again, that didn't make them happy. I was told I was a jerk, by the bald guy. I told him, "I know I'm a jerk, I don't want to be a jerk but that I was in the back of a police car, in hand cuffs for the first time in my life, for something I didn't do and that with a little thought could be proved that the trailer wasn't stolen. I proceeded to state that I didn't think the whole ordeal had anything to do with the trailer but rather a check of us, our demeanor, and or truck to make sure we weren't some of the ones the D.H.S. report from a few months back had told police departments to be on the lookout for. His reply was simply, "that's ridiculous", mine, "is it now". He then stated he liked what was on the truck and that he had read some of it. I looked puzzled, right square into his eyes and said inquisitively, "you can read?" He slammed the door, where I was sitting and walked off.

After another 15-20 minutes or so of deteriorating attitudes of both myself and my wife, who by now is crying, no balling her eyes out, the tow truck driver decided he wasn't smart enough to tow the truck without damage(which I decided when he got out of the truck the first time), so they made a group decision to let my wife drive the truck to the impound yard while they escorted us, front and rear. I wasn't allowed to drive, I guess I was going to use all that sleek, high speed power and uncanny ability to elude the police officers. So we headed for the impound yard, back west about 22 miles, where she parked the truck and we were taken inside to sit and wait out the paperwork clearance for the "stolen trailer".

There were a few other officers in the building and one of them seemed to keep going outside, coming back in, asking questions about the truck, he'd sit down and write a bit, go outside again, come back inside and call Officer Hammond to the back, come back write some more, and finally about 1 hour later we were released, with apology.

Lastly, I have left some facts out of this post, though few. All, and I mean all, pertinent facts are here, with no embellishment. This was truly the most horrible, demeaning, belittling, demoralizing experience of our lives. I guess I have never felt as helpless in my life as I did when I was sitting cuffed, in the back of that squad car, while watching them demoralize and verbally harass my wife. I realize that police officers have a job to do, I realize that it is one of the toughest jobs in the United States. I further understand that they must protect themselves and the public. My question though, is this, after seeing all the paperwork, hearing me explain, twice, all the numbers matching on everything right down to the seal on the trailer, after ransacking our truck, stealing a 912 project flyer, 912 taxpayer revolt flyer, and a copy of the poem on the side of m truck, after cuffing me, obviously for the intimidation factor, why is it that there was no report number given to me, no citations, no inspection report on log books or vehicle safety, or anything else that would prove that we sat on the side of the road, being harassed by the New Mexico State Police, for 31/2 hours, and released, according to the seargent, without cause. What the Hell is that? I can't even prove we were there.

I understand now, to some extent, how professor Gates felt that he was being harassed, and I also see the officers side of having to protect themselves. Somewhere though, there must be a middle ground.

Appology for having NOT posted in over 24 hours

I realize I promised to update you on our travels anytime new information was available. I am very sorry for the last 24 hours. We have discovered that there are some out here who don't like our message...The New Mexico State Police seem to be among that group.

I will, I promise, update you at a later time today but suffice to say that it has been a very rough last 12 hours.

Won't you please afford me the time to rest and revive my pea little truck driver brain and I will update you later this evening on the "rest of the story".

We received a call from dispatch this morning at about 9:00 am and found out there wasn't enough freight for our load to run to Kansas City and most of the loads that were to go out this morning to MOST destinations were going to cancel. 07/23 9:30 pm update

I was able to finish washing the truck today. Had some good conversation with a few folks about our mission of waking people up and getting them involved in taking our country back, one politician at a time. We passed out about 4 pocket constitutions and a whole lot of reading material on the health care bill, cap and trade, the 912 Project, 912 candidates, 912 taxpayer revolt etc. Mostly just good fellowship and information sharing though.

We also just received or dispatch for tonight, well, really tomorrow morning. We will be headed out of Carson, CA to Kansas City, MO. Our trip will take us back across I-40 the same way we came to CA. We will travel I-40 to Tucumcari, NM where we will take U.S. hwy 54 to Wichita, KS then I-35 to Kansas City.

At this time we aren't sure of the exact time we will be leaving Carson so I can't give time estimates for major cities. Please check back tomorrow and I will update this as soon as I have some detail.

Update 07/22...6:30 pm Eastern time

We stopped in Albuquerqui, NM at about 5:00 pm, fueled and took off again at approximately 5:15 pm. We are headed for Carson, CA, (Los Angeles) area and will be traveling I-40 to Barstow, then I-15 south to 210 west right on into town. We should be in Flagstaff, AZ at about 10-10:30 pm tonight, then Carson by about 0700 Thursday morning.

So far the trip has been fairly uneventful. A few waves and thumbs up, a couple of questions at our fuel stops and I have hung some fliers for the www.912dc.org taxpayer revolt in D.C. on Sept. 12. Otherwise, not much to add, but some dialogue has been opened.

I find it somewhat funny that you can see many people looking and reading the sides of the truck as they pass us on the road but as soon as we let them know that we know they are looking, they either turn away or give us a thumbs up or a wave. My point is that they won't initiate the positive response unless they know you are watching them. My thought is that that looms from many years of being marginalized in their views or shouted down FOR them. JMHO

Please keep an eye out for us and if you see us wave, shout, scream, thumbs up, blow your horn, do whatever it takes to get our attention. If you like our message and the mission we are on, the one of trying to awaken the masses, please feel free to make a contribution to the cause by clicking on any of the "donate" buttons on this page or at http://stopthedestructionofamerica.blogspot.com.

07/22 0850 Update

We got into Irving about 2330 last night. Got a good nights sleep. We were notified this morning about 0600 that our Los Angeles load was ready. We got up, got ourselves ready to go and headed out about 0630. We are no about 10 miles North of Wichita Falls, Tx on highway 287 and will be in Amarillo, Tx at about 1230 this afternoon. From there we should be in Tucumcari, NM about 1400, and then in Albuquerqui, NM at approximately 1700-1730. I'll not predict any further than that at this point but I will update again as we are leaving Albuquerqui.

Please keep an eye out for us and by all means wave when you see us. Should you decide you like what we are doing, the message we are spreading, feel free to use any of the "donate" buttons on this page to make a contribution and help support our cause.

Another update. Just Left Jackson, MS

We got to Jackson, MS a little later than I had figured, it was actually 1545, (3:45 PM) and fueled, we left there about 1620 and headed to Dallas, TX for the final leg of this trip. Dallas, well Irving is where the terminal is, that is about 425 miles from Jackson, MS and we should be there about 2330 eastern time, (11:30 pm).

When we get there, we'll get a few hours rest, I will have had enough, according to D.O.T. standards and we will take off for Los Angeles, CA at about 0500 on Wednesday morning. That is about 1445 miles and we should be there by about 0530 on Thursday.

We will be traveling on highway 287 north through Texas to Amarillo, then interstate 40 into California. Major cities will be, Dallas/FT worth area, Wichita Falls, TX, Amarillo, TX, Tucumcari, NM, Albuquerqui, NM, Flagstaff, AZ, Los Angeles/Carson, CA.. I'll update the site again as soon as we leave Irving, TX to let you know what time and where.

Hope to see you all along the way. GIve us a wave if you see the truck.

Remember, if you like what we are doing, in trying to wake up America and like our message, please feel free to contribute to the cause here by clicking on any of the "donate" buttons on this page. any and all contributions are appreciated.

Travel Update

We left Orlando, Fl this morning about 0400 and heard for Dallas, TX. As promised, This is the update . We are now in Marianna, Fl, we will be in Pensacola about 11:15 am, Mobile, AL at about 12:15-12:30, Jackson MS at about 1530. That is about as far as I care to predict at this point due to traffic and at least 1 fuel stop needing to be made.

Check back later for more updates.

Leaving For Irving, TX

We just received our dispatch for tonight. We will be heading out from Orlando, FL at around 0400, Tuesday morning and going to Irving, Tx. At this point, we have no idea what time our load will actually be ready so it is pretty tough, until we leave the terminal to predict what time we will be at any given point. Check back here in the morning...Tuesday morning, and I will update the site with a travel itinerary. Major cities will be, Orlando, Fl, Tallahassee, Fl, Pensacola, Fl, Mobile, AL, Jackson, MS, Monroe, LA, Shreveport, LA, Dallas, Tx then Irving.

While we will be traveling through those above listed cities, we will not be stopping in most of them. As a matter of fact, due to time sensitivity constraints on our freight, we will stop but 1 time on the route. Unfortunately, I cannot reveal that stop because freight thefts have been on the rise in the transportation industry.

Please check back often to find out when we leave Orlando and at that point I will be able to update the times on each city pass through. Hope to see you along the way.
If you like what you see, and like the message, please contribute to the project here.

Freight Very Slow, Is the Stock Market being Manipulated?

We didn't get moving last night as expected. Usually, when we are home, here in Florida, we know when we are going to be ready to leave and very seldom is it that dispatch has nothing for us to get moving with. This time, we have been home for two weeks, since the morning of the 4th, we called dispatch on the 17th to let them know we'd be ready on the evening of the 18th, we called them again about 1500 on the 18th to let them know we were now ready. We were told by dispatch that it was pretty slow so don't expect to get moving tonight...the 18th. We didn't get a load last night, as expected. I called again early this afternoon and they told us again, pretty slow, probably will be Monday night, Tuesday morning before we get moving. my point is this...

As stated earlier, it is rare that we don't get moving the day we state that we will be and are ready. Anybody, who knows much about the economy, knows that transportation is a leading indicator of the coming trends. Most stocks lag, transportation leads in determining trends. The stock market last week was up by about 550 points in the DOW while freight, as reported by many of my colleagues, had dropped off to nearly non-existent in our sector. DOW transports finally dropped about 13 points on Friday but the rest of the week they were up wildly.

We have been led to believe, by most in the Main Stream Media, that America is on the road to recovery, even though, those of us in the leading economic indicator are seeing freight volumes fall off on a near daily basis. Look, I am certainly no stock wizard, or economist, or financial adviser, I mean, I can barely balance my own check book and I use a coin counter to count my change,(well, not the change "O" has provided, that is pretty easy to count). I just find it difficult to swallow that the people in this field say freight has stopped moving and the stock market continues to rise. This novice certainly believes "manipulation" is a mild term for what is happening with the market. Personally, I think criminal misconduct would be closer to accurate.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Joseph Goebbels...Riech Minister of Propaganda, Nazi Germany, 1933-1945. Does that time period sound familiar?

1st Outing in the Truck since the Wrap Was Done

Well,it certainly wasn't much but I took off early this morning and went to Tampa to have new tires put on and a 3 axle alignment on the truck. I took off, expecting some interest, but I had no idea what would ensue.

I had to pull off the highway twice on the way down, rush hour traffic, people just wanted to see it, read it and discuss the wrap, the 912 project, and what is happening to America. When I got to Tampa, the response was overwhelming, both at the tire shop and the alignment shop 10 miles away.

I handed out about 30 or so constitutions, more than any single day since I started handing them out in January, and about the same amount of 9-12 brochures and 912taxpayer revolt flyers. I had a blast talking about and explaining our plight.

The next few months should certainly prove interesting, if not challenging. I am so looking forward to the dialogue this project is going to ignite. We will be leaving the evening of the 18th...Saturday night, and won't be back here until after the 912 taxpayer revolt in D.C. on the 12th of September, 2009.

Please check back often for updates on our experiences and for information about where you can come see the truck. We have also added a panel on each side for signatures of donors to the project. Please feel free to contribute here.

The Finished Product, The Truck is Done

Well, the long awaited, much anticipated, and highly promoted, 912 Project Truck is done. The folks at Today's Graphics INC have gone over and above what was expected in design, dedication and application of this project. Words, nor could pictures ever describe how I appreciate their quality in workmanship and generous devotion of their time.

While Glenn Beck does not have anything to do with this project personally, his website, and radio and television talk shows are certainly the inspiration behind the design.

I believe, like Glenn, that we all have a place in life, we are all here for a purpose. While we may not always know where we are being led, where God is telling us to go, as long as we go where He guides us, all will work out. The road may be rough, trials will be many but if we will Keep Our Chin Up, Eyes Forward, and Pray Fervently, God will certainly help us through the trials and tribulations we may suffer. My belief is that Glenn is here to encourage all of us and that I am here to do what I am doing...Trying to wake up America. You too, have a purpose, a calling if you will. The fact is, that if you are here, or on www.the912project.com, or listening to Glenn on his radio and television shows, I think it is for a reason. This country was founded on Christian Values and it will be saved in the same manner in which it was founded, and by the same type of folks, regular, everyday, run of the mill, average RED BLOODED AMERICANS!!!

All that being said, I have for several weeks been promising pictures of my truck after the "wrap" was done. Wait no longer. The pictures are here, the truck is done, and we will be back on the road on the evening of the 18th of July. I will, as promised, be updating this site almost daily, sometimes more often, other times less often, so that you will know where I am and if I am going to be in your city soon. I hope that you will all come see the truck if we get to your city. The company we work for has terminals in all major U.S. cities, mostly around the airport any given city.

For now, please enjoy the pictures until you can get to see the truck. Remember, pictures just do not do this wrap justice.

Please, if you like what we are doing, if you believe in our country, the 912 project, the Tea Party Movement, and that all we need is to wake Americans up so that we can salvage our country, feel free to donate here to help defray the costs of our project. Remember, we will be in Washington D.C. on September 12, 2009 and if you donate here, I want you signature on the truck when we see you there.

It is my regret that I have had to remove the Paypal hyperlinks within the test of these posts since I am way too technologically challenged to make them work. I you care to contribute to this project, any of the "DONATE"buttons will take you to the Paypal site to make a contribution. Any and all are welcome, and appreciated.

Another Update

Just a quick update. I had promised pictures of the finished truck wrap would be here tonight. I just received a call from the vinyl shop and they advised me that the truck probably won't be done until sometime Tuesday, the 14th rather than today. I am sorry for the delay but this shop is doing a phenomenal job and they refuse to sacrifice quality for speed, (which I appreciate and respect).

Though this has actually caused me some scheduling challenges, I don't see that it will cause any problems that will prove to be irreconcilable. Please continue to check back her often and we should have pictures up no later than Wednesday evening if all goes well.

For those of you that are interested, here is a tease of what the wrap will look like. I believe we will all be very proud of the final product.

Please feel free to make you contribution to the project here.

Wrap Update

With the changes in the design features the cost of the job has changed a little so the cost has increased accordingly. As I promised, below you will find an accounting of cost of project, and funds received in the form of donations along with my deficit, my out of pocket.

The Truck is at the Wrap Contractor

My wife and I took the truck to the shop this morning. We spent about an hour or so finalizing the design features of the vinyl wrap and type of fonts to be used in different areas. I believe, and I certainly hope you will be pleased with the finished product and proud to be a part of the project. I dare not reveal any details here as I just couldn't, in words, express how it is going to look.

Please check back often. The pictures will be up here, hopefully, by the evening of Monday the 13th of July, 2009.

Truck to be Wrapped This Week

My wife and I are at our home this week for some much deserved time off. Well, kinda time of. Actually, I will be working on maintaining the truck for much of the next 14 days and my wife is working in the house, so actually, though we aren't working at our "regular" job, we are actually working.

Besides me working on the truck, I will have the truck at the vinyl printer/installer for our "912 project" theme wrap. I believe you will all be very pleased with the finished product and that you will be proud to be a part of the project. The contractor wants the truck for five full days since it is such a big project and one that demands the utmost attention to detail. After the truck is done on Sunday, there will be a photographer here on Monday to get some professional quality pictures to send out to everyone involved in the project and to post here on this site.

Be sure and check back here often to see the finished product and to see where we are traveling at any given time so that you can come and see the truck when we are in your area. Also, please be sure and sign up to attend the 912dc.org taxpayer protest in Washington D.C.. We will have the truck in the area that week and we hope to see you all there.

Please feel free to make you contribution to the project here as well.
