As stated earlier, it is rare that we don't get moving the day we state that we will be and are ready. Anybody, who knows much about the economy, knows that transportation is a leading indicator of the coming trends. Most stocks lag, transportation leads in determining trends. The stock market last week was up by about 550 points in the DOW while freight, as reported by many of my colleagues, had dropped off to nearly non-existent in our sector. DOW transports finally dropped about 13 points on Friday but the rest of the week they were up wildly.
We have been led to believe, by most in the Main Stream Media, that America is on the road to recovery, even though, those of us in the leading economic indicator are seeing freight volumes fall off on a near daily basis. Look, I am certainly no stock wizard, or economist, or financial adviser, I mean, I can barely balance my own check book and I use a coin counter to count my change,(well, not the change "O" has provided, that is pretty easy to count). I just find it difficult to swallow that the people in this field say freight has stopped moving and the stock market continues to rise. This novice certainly believes "manipulation" is a mild term for what is happening with the market. Personally, I think criminal misconduct would be closer to accurate.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Joseph Goebbels...Riech Minister of Propaganda, Nazi Germany, 1933-1945. Does that time period sound familiar?
