Gettin' Closer

After not having any real time off since July 4th, it feels good to be 400 miles from 2 weeks in the woods with my rifle and pistol.

We are about 390 miles north of home. I am going to bed and Tina is going to get us there. I drove from Columbus, OH to Atlanta and Tina is going to finish it up for us.

I am almost giddy. I can hardly sleep. It seems almost like Christmas when I was a child. Well, okay smarty, a young child. Okay, okay, young in years, not in mind. Anyway, We'll be home at about 0730, we'll get some chores done. Load the pickup truck, and head north. I'll drop Tina off in Illinois, to spen time with her family, I'll visit my mother for about 2 hours or so, then I'll head for South Dakota. I can't really say I'm going hunting, but we are darned sure gonna kill a bunch of prairie dogs. I have my video recorder to document the kills so stay tuned.

Not sure whether I'll have an internet connection where I'm going but if not, please bear with me. I'll post when I can.

In the mean time, check out cafe' press and type in 912 Truck in the search box or do the same at printfection and show your support of the 912 Truck and it's mission.

On the Way to Columbus, OH

We left Atlanta at about 0200 this morning and headed north on I-75. We will travel to Cincinati on I-75 then access I-71 right up to Columbus. We will be stopping at mp171 in Kentucky for fuel at the Flying J Travel Plaza. We are scheduled to stop for fuel at about 0930 and then in Columbus at about 1200 noon today.

Hopefully, from Columbus, we will be headed to Orlando, our home terminal, for time off. We will be taking two weeks off for some routine doctors appointments and family visits in Illinois. I will also be traveling to South Dakota for a varmint killing expedition. We plan to kill a whole bunch of prairie dogs in the pastures of South Dakota during the next week or so. There will be 3 or four of us, all competing for the most kills and all crazy about competition. I have 1000 rounds of ammo and a video recorder to document the kills. Film at 1100 or whenever I get back.

Anyway, the trip to D.C. was great. I have been in contact with some folks about getting in on the Tea Party Express Tour next year. Tina and I have decide though, that if we can't get in on their tour, we will just have on e og=f our own. We will be taking the first last week in August and the first two weeks of September to accommodate the time needs for the tour and are in the budgeting mode now to make funds available. We are very excited about doing this and I hope to see double numbers at the event next year. We will be promoting, heavily, throughout the year for this event and passing out information to Wake Up America year round.

Lastly, I am in the process, the long, dreary, painstaking process, of putting together a new and improved website. As most of you know, I have this site and the Stop The Destruction Of America site. I will, hopefully, be combining the two sites and adding content pertinent to both the transportation industry and to current events involving the destruction and the eventual rebuilding of America. I pray that you will all bear with me as I undertake this endeavor. I have never built a website before and these "blogsites" were my very first attempt at the use of any web based applications. Stay tunes for what I hope is a grand transformation an culmination of my exhausting toils.

In closing, we hope that you can find it in your budget to help with a small purchase or a donation in support of our mission.
We have launched into a couple of apparel stores so that everyone can show their support of the 912 Truck. Click here to show your support, or go to www.printfection.com/912truck. Headed to Louisville, KY Tonight then to Dallas Tomorrow

Well, we made the trip to Washington D.C. and back to Columbus. I an currently putting my thoughts together for a post about the D.C. rally, but suffice to say...MAGNIFICENT!!

We are off to Louisville, KY tonight and then to Dallas tomorrow. I believe great things are about to happen for the 912 truck/America's Alarm Clock. We had a short interview, to be posted in a few days or so, with Sarah Palin Radio. Thanks to Karen at Thepalination.com and conservabid.com, Sarah Palin Radio contacted us and performed the interview on Sunday after the rally.

Anyway, just wanted to make it a point to let you know that I haven't quit posting, I have only laid off for a day or 5 to go to the rally and then recuperate from said rally. By the way, did I tell you the rally was great? An amazing turnout.

More later, stay tuned and meet us on the road as we travel. We'd love to meet you so let us know where you are and we will stop the next time we are coming through your area.

In Laredo TX, Now What?

Well, as most know, we got to Carson(LAX) at about 1230 Sunday evening and they had a load waiting that they needed to go to Laredo TX for a Tuesday morning delivery. We figured, what the heck, it's in the correct general direction of D.C> anyway, right? I mean it is East of LAX, so we hooked to the load and off to Laredo we headed. We couldn't deliver until Tuesday morning at 0800 so we took our time, got here about 0130 this morning, unloaded and here we sit.

We have let dispatch know that we need to get to D.C. so I guess they are trying to help us out to get there. They are actually, usually, very good about helping out when they can. We'll see what happens today though.

On our way here yesterday we seen a few pretty strange sights but I guess the most strange was this blimp looking object at an Air Force facility Near Marfa TX.

We met a few drivers here this morning that were very enthusiastic about the truck, the design, and the idea behind the 9-12 project, they signed the truck, we got some pictures and they were off and runnin', as truckers, they were on the move. Those pictures are in the slide show above. Look For Will and Terry in Laredo.

Just took call from Dispatch, headed for Dallas, empty then to Columbus, Oh with a load at about 0500. From there to Sterling. VA

Well, we got as far north as Austin TX and dispatch asked us to stop here at our terminal and wait for a load to go to Dallas at about midnight. No Problem, we are going that way, anyway. Seems awfully unproductive, for the company, to go empty if we can wait a few hours and go with a load. So we made a detour to the terminal and here we sit. We will be moving in a few hours though.

I am so looking forward to going to D.C. for the Taxpayer revolt on D.C.. I am amazed by the number of people, everywhere, that are just thoroughly disgusted with our government and it's policies on everything from monetary policy to health care, to the "so called" climate change. I just hope they all step up and gather somewhere on the 12th so that we can show the lowlifes in D.C., who pays their wages. We are working our way that direction, we will be among a few close friends, some very loving family members and many thousands patriots.

The closest place we could get our truck to the festivities was RFK stadium. We have been assigned a spot in lot #3. Bob Northrop, from Wahshington D.C., helped in securing that spot for us and for that we are most grateful. I hope you will all come by and visit and sign the truck.

In closing, we hope that you can find it in your budget to help with a small purchase or a donation in support of our mission.

On Our Way, to Carson(LAX), CA From Chicago(ORD)

Much has happened since y last post and I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for have not kept you posted on the details of our movements. We went back to Chicago from Kansas City, Mo and then to Columbus OH and back to Chicago IL again. We are currently on our way to Carson Ca and will be traveling I80, I-76, I-70, I-15 and into LAX on 210 west, 605 south and 91 west. We are set to deliver on Sunday evening about 0100 am EDT.

We met with the organizer of the Chicago "We Surround Them", Lynn in the parking lot at Target on Manheim and Touhy ave. Lynn is a great patriot. I spent about 30 minutes or so talking to a passer by about the 9-12 project and what it is all about, I gave him a lot of information, and a pocket constitution. I didn't have a "Common Sense" book by Glenn Beck to give him but I now will be able to buy some thanks to Lynns generosity and the generosity of Michael the other day in Gretna, NE.

We are getting very excited about our trip to D.C. on the 12th of September for the taxpayer Revolt on D.C... We have secured a parking place, with the fantastic and determined help of a Patriot in D.C. by the name of Bob Northrop. Bob worked diligently to acquire permission from the operators of the parking lots at the RFK stadium. We have been given permission to park in lot 3 for two days and are very thankful to the team that runs the parking in that area.

Traffic has been relatively light today considering that it is a holiday weekend. I expect that as time passes though it will get somewhat worse.

We have also been able to gain access to a "FLIP" video recorder and will be, in the future, videoing some of our meetings and fuel stops and posting those videos here. Please understand though, this will be our first attempt at videoing anything and we have never operated one of these cameras before or the software that is used to edit and upload to the site. We just ask that you be patient as we learn. Tina is a quick study, me however...not so much.

In closing, we hope that you can find it in your budget to help with a small purchase or a donation in support of our mission.

Travel Update for 09/01 Carson(LAX) to Chicago(ORD)

We fueled at about 1245-100 edt in Barstow at the flying J Truck Stop. Left there at about 1:10 and we are now headed north on I-15. We will stay on I-15 through Las Vegas, NV and Into UT to I-70 east. From there we will head towards Denver, Co. We should be in Denver around 8:00 am EDT in the morning on Wednesday and that will just be a pass through(no stop) unless other arrangements are made prior to our arrival there. We will access I-76 in Denver and head North East on I-76 towards North Platte Ne. This is where our next planned stop is for fuel. We probably won't be there more than about 15 minutes or so unless other arrangements are made prior to our arrival. From there it is off to Chicago. No other planned stops. You can contact me via email if you have a special stop request for a short meet up or group picture with the truck.

Been Sitting in L.A. for 2 days, Moving to Chicago in the Morning

As you know, we arrived in LAX on Sunday afternoon and got some much needed rest. We sat here all day Sunday and again all day Monday and likely all night Monday night. We did get a call from dispatch a bit ago and accepted a load to Chicago, IL. That load doesn't leave until Tuesday morning at about 0600 EDT, if it is on time.

We will travel, much to my dismay, North on I-15, through Las Vegas and into Utah, then East on I-70 to Denver, CO. From there we will access I-76 and follow that into Nebraska where I-80 will take us into Illinois. Shortly after entering Illinois we will get onto I-88 and follow that to our terminal in Chicago.

We will stop in Barstow, Ca for fuel and then the next planned stop will be in North Platte NE, again for fuel.

Really, the only reason I said, "much to my dismay" at the beginning of this post about traveling through Denver is that I-70, west of Denver, co has got to be my least favorite section of highway to drive, anywhere is the U.S.. It is truly a beautiful section of road and unbelievable scenery but is just a pain to drive.
Oh well, we have a job to do and that will be the direction of our travel. I hope to see some of yo along the way. Be sure and give a wave if you happen to see the 912 Truck/America's Alarm Clock in you daily travels.
