On Our Way, to Carson(LAX), CA From Chicago(ORD)

Much has happened since y last post and I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for have not kept you posted on the details of our movements. We went back to Chicago from Kansas City, Mo and then to Columbus OH and back to Chicago IL again. We are currently on our way to Carson Ca and will be traveling I80, I-76, I-70, I-15 and into LAX on 210 west, 605 south and 91 west. We are set to deliver on Sunday evening about 0100 am EDT.

We met with the organizer of the Chicago "We Surround Them", Lynn in the parking lot at Target on Manheim and Touhy ave. Lynn is a great patriot. I spent about 30 minutes or so talking to a passer by about the 9-12 project and what it is all about, I gave him a lot of information, and a pocket constitution. I didn't have a "Common Sense" book by Glenn Beck to give him but I now will be able to buy some thanks to Lynns generosity and the generosity of Michael the other day in Gretna, NE.

We are getting very excited about our trip to D.C. on the 12th of September for the taxpayer Revolt on D.C... We have secured a parking place, with the fantastic and determined help of a Patriot in D.C. by the name of Bob Northrop. Bob worked diligently to acquire permission from the operators of the parking lots at the RFK stadium. We have been given permission to park in lot 3 for two days and are very thankful to the team that runs the parking in that area.

Traffic has been relatively light today considering that it is a holiday weekend. I expect that as time passes though it will get somewhat worse.

We have also been able to gain access to a "FLIP" video recorder and will be, in the future, videoing some of our meetings and fuel stops and posting those videos here. Please understand though, this will be our first attempt at videoing anything and we have never operated one of these cameras before or the software that is used to edit and upload to the site. We just ask that you be patient as we learn. Tina is a quick study, me however...not so much.

LAX to ATL Update

Left LAX about 0915 this morning and headed east out of CA. Got to Kingman, AZ about 300 this afternoon and fueled. Boy, was that an experience.

A cook, from the truckstop restaurant, came running to the truck, an obvious huge fan of the 912 project and we talked for a bit. She signed the truck and thanked us, took some of her own pictures and moved on. Then, an RV'er came over, stood and read the truck, loved the idea, the concept, and the mission and signed the truck. She is a business owner with 13 employees and is scared to death about what is happening to our great Republic. She too signed the truck and went back to her Rv. Then, another driver approached and we talked for a bit, I explained our mission, he read the truck and was very enthusiastic about our mission. His favorite Principle of the 9 was, "The Government works for me, I do no work for them". He signed the truck, thanked us for our dedication to waking up America, shook hands and moved on.

So now, we are headed back down the interstate, towards the East and our next stop will probably be in Oklahoma CIty, Ok for fuel. We should be there between 0800 and 0900 tomorrow morning. We are currently about 710 west of there, almost to the Arizona/New Mexico state line. I would suppose we will be in Albuquerque, thou not stopping at about 1100 this evening or so, then Amarillo, TX about 0430 in the morning, then as I said, 0800-0900 in Ok. City, OK. I will update more as times are known.

In Los Angeles Now, Headed to Atlanta, Ga in the Morning

We arrived in Los Angeles at about 1200 noon today, right on schedule. One we got parked, we had some breakfast, and done some paper and computer work. now, unfortunately, it was time to wash the truck. This is quite the job on a truck of this size, especially if you want it to look right when you are finished. About 4 hours, a lunch break, and about 6 bottles of water later, I was done.

We had a couple of great experiences yesterday with folks looking at and signing the truck. One couple, truck driver's in town for her mother's funeral, stopped us on our way into a restaurant and really liked the design on the truck. They had read it as we drove in and agreed with our mission and the 9-12 project. They were happy to be able to be a part of our mission by signing the truck. Then, after we were loaded, we had to stop for fuel, just down the road from the terminal, and another driver came over just to see what was on the truck. We talked for a bit, his words about the design were I love it, I mean I really love it". He asked about the wrap, and I explained how much vinyl was used and how long it took to install and that Today's Graphics Incorporated, in Dade City, Florida had performed the install. He too was pleased to be a part of it by signing the truck. Pictures of these folks will be posted a bit later.

We took a call from dispatch earlier this afternoon and they had loads to Atlanta, Ga or Kansas CIty, mo. We opted for Atlanta, Ga. Our load is to be ready in the morning at about 0500 eastern time and we will be traveling across I-40 to Memphis, TN the south east on 78 to Birmingham, AL where we will get onto I-20 and travel that straight into Atlanta. We will get on the bypass loop and travel that south to our terminal. Major cities will be Barstow CA, Kingman AZ, Flagstaff AZ, Gallup NM, Albuquerque Nm, Amarillo TX, Oklahoma City OK, Little Rock AR, Memphis TN, Birmingham Al, then straight to Atlanta. Since the loads out of here are seldom on time, I cannot give city times but rest assured, I will update when I know.
